Privacy

Last updated: September 2026

The short version. This site sets no cookies and has no accounts or forms. We count page views so we know whether anyone reads this, but the counter is cookieless and can't identify you or follow you anywhere else. Two parties see that your browser asked for this page: our host, and Google, because the fonts load from them. That's the whole story.

1 Who's responsible

MakeHelm Ltd is the data controller for this site. We're registered in England and Wales, company number 17433308, registered office 66 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NA, United Kingdom. Reach us at [email protected].

2 What we collect

Nothing that identifies you. This site is a set of static files: there are no accounts, no forms, no cookies, no tracking pixels, no advertising and no session storage. We could not work out who you are from this site if we wanted to.

3 What happens anyway

Three things happen when your browser loads this page, and we'd rather spell them out than pretend otherwise:

Nothing else on this page phones home. That beacon is the only script on the site and the only JavaScript we ship — there is no advertising, no session recording, no heatmapping and no data broker anywhere in this.

4 If you email us

The contact links open your own email client — we don't run a form. If you do write to us, we'll hold your message and your email address for as long as we need to deal with it and to keep a sensible business record, and no longer. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests in responding to enquiries, or taking steps at your request before entering a contract.

We won't add you to a mailing list, and we won't pass your details to anyone else unless we're legally required to.

5 Our products are separate

RivalCheck, InternalNewsletter, RaceTrackDesign and anything else we run are separate services with their own privacy policies. If you sign up for one of those, its policy governs what happens to your data — not this one.

6 Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of any personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. Since this site collects nothing, in practice that will only ever concern correspondence you've sent us.

Email [email protected] and we'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

7 Changes

If we ever add anything that collects more than this — a contact form, a mailing list, anything at all — we'll update this page and change the date at the top before it goes live. That is how the cookieless counter above came to be described here.

Questions? Email [email protected] — it's read by the person who built the site.
